Hi guys & gals (:bye)

I'm a trance lover as everybody does in this forum:)
I'm nearly on to every sub-genre (Classic & Mainstream, Euro, Progressive, Tech, Vocal) but 'Uplifting' is far more loved one & believe that uplifting is the roots of trance.

I'm a bedroom dj also, played some small clubs in my summer resort.
I own Ecler Evo4 Mixer + Pioneer CDJ400 CD Players.
My alias is CyberKid as u see & u can find my mixes @ soundcloud.com/cyberkid

Any special reason for that? or it's just a personal appraisal?

I don't know if you're being serious. Some people says that Trance took the beat from Disco.

First of all thanks for the warm welcome replies.. (:thanx)

When I'm sayin 'uplifting is the roots of trance' I don't mean the very early roots. Trance was born in early 90's (1991: Dag Lerner ve Rolf Elmer - Dance2trance) and pioneered from various kinds of music like Euro Dance, Techno and House.

I mean, the first examples of trance is uplifting. All the other sub-genres are developed after that. So in early 90's trance = uplifting.

For example the one below. Illuminatus - Hope (Original Mix)
This track was made in 1993. A plain, simple but pure uplifting sound.

I believe that the beginning of the (/this) universe is the root of trance :P

Disco was just another step towards modern Trance (dance2)

Agree...

...but here certainly not. One track doesn't define a whole genre as you stand with this sentence :

Besides Acid and Goa we have "Trance Trance" tracks that are not uplifting but still are Trance, I'd say Classic Trance, Original Trance or simply Trance. For instance, the productions made by Cosmic Baby, Age Of Love, Jam & Spoon. Germany was pioneer in Trance as you can see.

The term "uplifting" appeared years later, circa 1997, when the Roland JP800 came up and was used to the death by the Trance producers.
